The Power of the Purse is an informal,
drop-in information-based networking group for business owners and professionals
in San Mateo
County. Tired of "joining" networking
groups that require annual dues and monthly attendance and getting little in
terms of actionable information to improve our business, we
envisioned a new way of doing things and made it happen.
According to the Center
for Women’s Business Research, women and
men business owners have different management styles. Women emphasize
relationship building as well as fact gathering and are more likely to
consult with experts, employees, and fellow business owners. We're here to honor women's
management style by providing them with a forum to build relationships,
gather information and consult with experts and other business
owners.
The Power of the Purse welcomes woman
professionals, executives and business owners, and is a
resource for you to:

help you grow and run your business smoothly,
- ACHIEVE success (as you define
it!) and financial security, and
- INTEGRATE the many aspects of

We are not just business owners,
we are resources, friends, mentors, colleagues, mothers, daughters and
